Beer run has a lot going for it.

The beer selection is the best in town. They beat all of the wine shops, and grocery stores for variety. Furthermore you can get one of their cold brews on tap while your trying to decide. They are also not afraid to let you sample if you are not sure.

Food is very good too. These folks have run some good ChVille restaurants in the past. They also make a lot of their food in house, organic as well. Try the Choc. cake...might be the best in town!

The service is usually pretty good. However delivery is a guessing game sometimes!?!?

THE ONLY DRAWBACK,,,the name...sounds like a brew thru.

Big Jim's BBQ has returned and reopened under new ownership. Brent Lunnen is operating the catering business and supplying Winky's (at the old Big Jim's Angus Rd location) with Big Jim's BBQ. The pulled Q and homemade slaw & potato salad have been well-received at several events. My in-laws, picky BBQ eaters from Roanoke, loved the pulled BBQ sandwiches. I've eaten way too much since it reopened. Great improvement since it had gone downhill over the past few years. I've been a fan of Big Jim's since 1986.

Great atmosphere and french fries. However, the hamburger is horrible. A dense ball of meat, closer to dry meatloaf than an actual hamburger. The Sysco frozen roll is a big minus as well. I will try other items next time, but will stay far away from the hamburgers.
